As you probably already know, our Novocastrian community is absolutely riddled with artistic talent. We want to use our unique platform to elevate local creatives, and help them gain the exposure they rightly deserve!
This time round we are excited to announce our breathtaking collaboration with local legend, John Earle; an insane oil painter with a knack for Newy landscapes.
Born and raised right here in Newcastle, John has been painting stellar seascapes for over four decades now. His talent has earned him both local and international recognition, with John's intricate artworks travelling to galleries near and far.
"I work in a few mediums, and in a few styles; paintings, ceramics, sculptures. I'm best known for my Newcastle beach scenes," John said.
"I was pleased to hear from Luke who was interested in a design or two for his Newy Distillery products. I've been hoping to do a collectable label for beverages for a while," he explained.
The John Earle Studio is open three afternoons a week, so make sure to pay it a visit!
